10Sep02 (Monthenor): Action! Suspense! Claws! We know drama, bitch. Have I mentioned lately how much I love logic? Our Foundations of Programming class keeps shrinking and shrinking, and we haven't even gotten through all the intro proofs. I get giddy when I get to manipulate Xs and Ys into a mutual implication or some shit. I dunno, I like to puzzle out all the links between point A and B, especially when I can start taking NOTES in logic notation. And apparently it's also useful for programming stuff, but if anyone actually watched me program they'd know I'm not too keen on that. I don't know why I keep doubting The Dead Zone. Every week they show some images from next week's episode, and every week I have doubts. Like last week they had a couple quick cuts of Johnny standing around with some Indians and trees and stuff. I was like "Oh great, a 'vision quest' episode. Looks like the magic is finally gone." And then Sunday comes and Dead Zone totally kicks my ass for being such an idiot. If you haven't seen it yet, do not despair. USA, by virtue of having only one decent show, is using Sunday the 15th as a 14-hour Dead Zone marathon. And then the next day brings new DBZ episodes. I don't think our apartment has enough video tapes to handle the load. As if I couldn't get any more off-topic, who else remembers that cartoon Talespin? That was pretty good, but it was no Rescue Rangers. And I would be a complete jackass if I didn't mention that last Friday's S.P.O.O.G.E. shenanigans were inspired mostly by Unicorn Jelly, a seriously deep and wacky comic. Trust me. And read it from the beginning, you naughty monkeys. |
